So this post will be my review of the Jako, Inc operation in
Hutchinson, Kansas. For the faithful followers, I posted last week
that I had been using their raw grass fed butter for about a year and
finally decided to make a trip up there. I did so today.
I was able to meet with Kenny King, the owner and operator. They have
a special room set up with their products and he gave me and a couple
from Wichita the tour. It is very informal (which I love). A basket
sits on a table in the middle of the room for you to leave your order
form and money. The food is for you to take. You just don't find
trust like that anymore.
Since Mr. King was in there, he showed us what to do. The couple from
Wichita was new to nutrient-dense food and so he explained the
benefits associated with grass-fed beef and raw dairy.
I picked up 5 pounds of ground beef, 2 quarts of raw honey (I'm very
excited about this), 2 dozen eggs, 4 gallons of raw milk, 2 pounds
stew meat and a few odds and ends of beef.
They offer full options within Chicken and Lamb. They have raw
cheese, butter, buttermilk, cream, ice cream and even cookie dough!
I love this place. I wish it was much closer. From Stillwater, it
took me 2 and a half hours. I'll probably still make at least one
more trip this fall. I want to try the chicken. I immediately
regretted now buying some.
Anyways, if you have any questions about the operation or products,
feel free to ask me or visit their website at www.jakoinc.com.
