You can put it in a sink of cool water and it will begin to thaw and you can
use it as it thaws. Be sure to pour some out before you freeze it and shake
it really well so that it will freeze with the fat mixed in. That way, as
you thaw it, it won't be all fat at first and skim milk at the end.

I've found freezing it in smaller containers makes for quicker and easier thawing in the fridge. The .5pt water bottles are great, but even up to a quart size...
