I don't know if this helps at all Beverly, but I live in Durant and
go to school in Stillwater and I always drive the back way right
through Clarita. I've stopped at one of the local Amish places that
sells bread, and believe it or not (watch the irony), they have a
phone, so you might be able to contact them some way. I have no idea
how to get the number, but it has to exist somewhere. I don't know
where you live in Ada, but it shouldn't be much more than a 30 - 45
minute drive.

I realize the Amish do not usually have telephones. If there was a
contact person that would help tremendously! I suppose I could just
start calling randomly from the phone book in that area.... ha ha

http://www.oklahomafood.coop , but I'm working on starting a Pauls
Valley pickup site, if that would help you.

dilemma - I am a member but they don't offer some of the things I'm
really looking for, some months more items are available, some months
they are not. There are a very few items I would like to order (eggs
for one) but the closest pick-up is too far from me to just order
eggs - with the cost of gasoline, a 70 mile drive puts the price of
eggs way up there. :o) I live in Ada so Pauls Valley would be
closer. If I could find everything I needed from one place or co-op,
the drive would not be such an obstacle. I have tried contacting the
suppliers individually (outside the co-op) several times but so far
have not had my calls or emails returned.

but it is very small and seasonal. They mostly have vegetables, no
honey, milk, cheese, eggs, meats or those types of things. I have
gone and asked but no one seems to know. I have seen the large OSU
market but again, have not made the drive to attend. If anyone has
been there and can give me an idea if maybe all these things would be
available there I would make the trip! And I would love to know the
list of other markets, there might be different items at different
ones.
