Catherine,
Thanks for the nice words about DairyFest. I tried doing it differently
this year and I'm not sure that I liked how it went. I thought for next
year, I might make it two hours, just have the booths without the
presentations and then the people at the booths could present to those
interested at the booth itself. Do you think that this might work
better? (In the past we had no booths, just took turns with people
coming forward for samples and speakers coming up to do their
presentations.)
I had decided to stop doing meetings and had emailed my Tulsa group
asking if anyone was interested in taking over. I did have one woman
who was very interested. We'll see what she plans for next year. If
nothing comes about with that, I figured that I would do DairyFest
every fall and a meeting on nutrient-dense foods (brix, refractometers,
soil fertility) every spring.

on this event.
I went rather impromptu! I was in Tulsa having dental work done by the
marvelous Dr. Jim Maxey and meeting with my dear friend, Carrie
Shepard afterward. Seems she was scheduled to attend and speak, so my
hubby and I tagged along and were totally wowed at the delightful,
informative meeting that Joy had put together!!
Met some new wonderful folks and renewed old acquaintances...just a
wonderful time and worth the extra effort to get home a bit later than
usual, uh, sorta! LOL!
I would like to have more events in the OKC and Enid area, so if there
are any interested, I would appreciate know what things would be of
interest as topics for meetings.
To your health~
Catherine
