The spring production explosion of
animals means that Shepherd's Gate, a small mini-farm of just 2.4
acres, has the following grade dairy goats for sale:
Blackie is a 2 yr old nubian in milk, 2nd freshener as of March 20th, $150
Rachel is a 1 yr + first freshener 1/2 alpine, 1/2 Nubian $150
Honey
is a small 2 yr old Nubian who I milked all last season steady, but low
production, excellent disposition and good starter nanny for low cost.
She gave me twin bucklings last month, but I was worried about her
condition and so dried her up. $75 She'd be a good companion to one
of the above milkers for someone looking to get into their own milk
supply and would be fine to breed again, she gave us a single kid the
first year and has had no delivery problems whatsoever.
Tinkerbell, less than a year old unbred nanny, $50
Two 5 week old bucklings (I will wether them at 8 weeks) mostly nubian $40 each.
Some
of you may have heard a bit of my goat milk testimony, but for those
who may not be familiar with it already: A little over 4 yrs ago, our
special needs daughter passed away after a long fight of 6 yrs. During
one of the last marathon hospitalizations we had a leak develop beneath
the kitchen sink due to not being home and not having a pressure gauge
on the main line. This allowed a major mold problem to develop and I
was really sick for about 8 months seeking help from MDs,
dermatologist, and finally an ENT. I gave up on them helping me
recover after the final doc simply refused to look at food issues and
told me I had to come in for allergy shots due to one of the problems
being systemic candida albicans. I'd had enough of the drugs that did
not work and said 'no thank you, now I'll seek natural healing
methods'. Somehow I found out about enzymes and the weston a price
foundation which led to Patient Heal Thyself and kefir... That led to
me sourcing a local supply of goat milk and making kefir from it. The
relief I recieved from goat milk kefir was within two days as
miraculous peace came back into my body. My nervous system had seemed
as if it was on constant overdrive as I felt over-stimulated ALL the
time; the kefir made me feel that normal calm feeling that had been
gone for almost a year from my life. I was convinced I must have my
own goat milk supply and within about 6 months was blessed with my
first two goats in milk.
Now I drink kefir daily and twice daily fresh raw goat milk right after it is
strained for the optimum nutrition.
