Community Education Wednesdays 6pm-8pm
August classes - Benefits of Fermented Foods
Week One – August 6 Fermenting Veggies – We will learn and explore the process of fermenting veggies and fruits such as Kim chi and Sauerkraut..
Week Two – August 13 Kombucha tea – We will learn the benefits and process for making this amazing fermented beverage. You will leave the class with a glass jar and a Kampuchea start to brew at home. (Supply fee is $10)
Week Three – August 20 Nuts, Beans, and Grains – We will explore the traditional and most healthful ways to prepare these much enjoyed foods for maximum absorption and digestion.
Week Four – August 27 Fermentation in Baking – We will look at ways to enhance nutrition, taste, digestion and absorption of baking with all types of food including: breads, pancakes, waffles, and even meats.
