I've read about the shattering on the internet, but I still want a couple of pots, lol. I think I might invest in Mercola's cast iron cookware in the future, but for right now, I want a pot or two to get me going right now. I'm anxious to get rid of the non stick pans I have now. I had a Visions pot a long time ago, and I can't remember whatever happened to it. It did not shatter, but I might have "repurposed" it when i went thru my soap making phase, lol.
I've checked out Ebay, and the shipping (they are glass, after all) is practically as much as the pots-and the pots aren't cheap either. I'll check out the Corning outlet, you never know what they might still have hanging around.
Thanks for the ideas, I'll check them out. :-)

Hi Cydi,
Oh yeah! I definitely remember the Corningware Visions series. In fact, hubbie had one Visions saucepan that he merged into our cookware when we got married (he's very protective of that pot!). My understanding is that Corningware discontinued these because there were some problems with them shattering while cooking. Ours is a small pot that we usually are only using for a quick boil up or low sauce, etc. Has been fine.
I think these are actually getting collectible value now so it's a little harder to bump into them at the thrift store (however, thrift stores are still a wonderful source of cheap pyrex dishes).
Do have a look at ebay or put out a Craigslist / Pennysaver ad - I bet you'll find a few.
