Oh yeah! I definitely remember the Corningware Visions series. In fact, hubbie had one Visions saucepan that he merged into our cookware when we got married (he's very protective of that pot!). My understanding is that Corningware discontinued these because there were some problems with them shattering while cooking. Ours is a small pot that we usually are only using for a quick boil up or low sauce, etc. Has been fine.
I think these are actually getting collectible value now so it's a little harder to bump into them at the thrift store (however, thrift stores are still a wonderful source of cheap pyrex dishes).
Do have a look at ebay or put out a Craigslist
/ Pennysaver ad - I bet you'll find a few.
