Yes, you can use canned coconut water, but not the canned coconut milk. They are 2 different things. Sometimes whole foods has the plain coconut water in stock. here is a website that has it http://www.onenaturalexperience.com/whatisone/index.php
there are a few different brands. It can get expensive, but is very easy when you don't have the time.
