Re: [Weston A Price Annap] Anybody home...?

Thomas -

There are three MD local chapters for Weston A Price Foundation:

    Annapolis, Baltimore, and North Bethesda

I belong to the Annapolis chapter which has two farm drop-off locations of food from a farm in PA.  The drop offs are in Columbia and Annapolis, let me know if either of these
would be of interest to you.

Hello!

My name is Tom Harbold, and I've come to this group by a rather
round-about route... I ran across a reference to the "Campaign for
Real Milk" in an article in _Farming Magazine_ (David Kline, editor),
and from there found the website (http://www.realmilk.org) and
thence, the Price Foundation. Have done a lot of reading on there
since!

I have a strong interest in whole/natural/traditional foods,
traditional and sustainable farming, and related issues (I work as a
naturalist and outdoor educator), and have always been somewhat
suspicious of the government's food guidelines... as well as strongly
suspicious of mega-corporations, whether in the food industry (a
contradiction in terms?) or "industrial agriculture" (a definite
contradiction in terms!). I buy local and/or organic as much as
possible (read: when I can find and/or afford it), but hope someday
to have a small farm or at least homestead of my own.

Being notably fond of dairy products, and finding that the
information on raw milk "sits well" with me, I am particularly
interested in any information anyone can provide on the subject of
cow-shares or similar arrangements here in Maryland -- central
Maryland in particular (I live in Westminster).

Hoping I'm talking to people and not just air (this group doesn't
appear to have been active for about a year), I remain

Yours respectfully,

Tom Harbold
