Hi, Debi,
Osteoporisis is largely due to the lack of absorbtion of calcium, not the
lack of presence of calcium in the body. Calcium is the most abundant
mineral available in our bodies, usually. Often the bone marrow is underfed
and this leads to osteoporosis. The bone marrow needs two things to
flourish - amino acids and fatty acids. I'm sure that Mary Enig will agree
with this. The other contributing factor in ostoeporosis is often low
magnesium levels. So, if you focus on getting adaquate amounts of essential
amino acids and essential fatty acids, along with sufficient magnesium, and
of course, exercise, you will win the battle with osteoporosis for sure.
If you need a nutrition consultation, you can access two "non-vegetarian"
health care professionals on-line at www.HumanDiamond.com

Hi Kate
I was wondering if you have info from the price-pottenger group about
osteoporosis? I have had
private conversations with Mary Enig about cholesterol since my cholesterol
skyrocketed with
menopause, but we did not discuss osteoporosis which I know I probably have
and I am
a candidate for osteoporosis and heart disease, and not because I am
overweight, but
menopausal.
Are there any local doctors that are holistic that are not vegetarians?
Thank you and have a nice day.
