I want to welcome each of you to our new mailing list. This is your
list! We now have 23 members.

As a disclaimer, this e-mail isn't an "official" e-mail from the
Vegetarian Society of East Tennessee, but is sent by Viveca.

All members of this Yahoo group can send messages to this list.
However, it isn't meant to be used to discuss off topic messages such
as politics, sex, religion, etc.

I hope it will be used as a way to bring our Knoxville vegetarian
community together. Although it would be nice if everyone is also a
member of the Vegetarian Society of East Tennessee, it isn't a
requirement. This list is open to all vegetarians in the Knoxville
area.

I am not sure if I mentioned it or not, we have a calendar at our
Yahoo Group website. We also have photo albums, a data base, a place
for files, a way to take polls, and a place for links. Feel free to
upload pictures, links, recipes, etc. I think I'll create a database
for the recipes.

This is a moderated list. I have taken this precaution to prevent
our group from being solicited, to prevent massive quantities of junk
e-mail, etc.

Remember this list is also a great way for you to get together with
other members for social gatherings. This way smaller groups can
meet to eat, take field trips, etc., without having to wait for our
next potluck or bi-monthly social.

You can find the link at the bottom of this e-mail for our Yahoo
Group. If you do not want to receive individual posts, you can
select digest version or can choose to read the posts at the Yahoo
website, and not receive any posts in your inbox at all. If you need
help doing this, feel free to send me your request, and I'll be happy
to do this for you.

I know this next month will be busy since we have Earth Fest and the
Great American Meatout (see our Yahoo calendar & website for
details). Also, let Laura know if you can help out at either of
these events.

We had a great turnout at our April potluck. We had a great variety
of delicious food to eat!
