Special Guest Speaker: Greg Lawson, President of the Vegetarian Society

Our guest at the January potluck will be Greg Lawson, President of the
Vegetarian Society of El Paso (Texax) and a National Park Service Ranger.
Greg went vegetarian in 1978 and was an early member of the Vegetarian
Society of East Tennessee back in 1983. He went vegan ten years ago
and was lead journalist for Animal Rights Online during the 1990's.
He is a regular writer for Animals Voice magazine and for the last five
years has done an animal rights/vegan oriented radio show, ACT, Animal
Concerns of Texas, on KTEP-FM, National Public Radio for the Southwest

http://www.ktep.org/listen.sstg).
He has been a featured speaker at the Farm Animal Reform Movement's annual
conference on wildlife issues since 2002. Ranger Greg will be demonstrating a
couple of his favorite tofu recipes and sharing stories of the effects of a
meat-based diet on the wildlife in our national parks and forests.
