Having problems with message search?
I went by tonight after my workout, but it was too late. The
workout ran a little late and they were closing up; it was almost
nine, though. The place was, again, empty. Laura saw me and hastened
to tell me they have a new water filter. She also seemed discouraged
by the lack of business.
Times are hard, of course, but we don't have to get a five
course meal. I've taken to going by after my workouts for takeout.
Saves the cost of a tip, and saves the (theoretical) patrons from
having to sit downwind from me after a workout. I figure every little
bit helps. Yesterday I started to go there and realized just as I
approached that they're closed on Mondays. So I decided to go back
to Glowing Body. When I got there the place was SURROUNDED by cars.
They don't need my money, and I really can't afford to eat out
that much right now, so I decided to save my money for
Veg-o-Rama.
If Knoxville vegetarians don't start eating there soon the
place will fold. It's not just a matter of this one vegetarian
restaurant folding. Her landlord was mocking her prior to her opening
about the folly of doing a vegetarian restaurant. If Veg-o-Rama fails,
I doubt very much anyone will try to start another vegetarian
restaurant here for a long time.
I know it's not perfect, but it's new. Please give them a
chance to work the kinks out. Everything I've had there so far has
been good except the water. I think their prices are reasonable, well
in line with other local restaurants.
Maybe somebody could circulate a questionaire to solicit advice
from vegetarians as to how to provide exactly what we're looking
for.

We ate at Veg-o-rama last night & the food was great. The water is still awful. We suggested buying a reverse osmosis system or 5 gallon jugs of distilled water to serve customers. Please forward to the Vegetarian Society members that we will go often to support Knoxville's first vegetarian restaurant and we encourage others to do the same -- not only because we need it, but also because the food is good and the atmosphere is nice.
