Kevin,
On my website, http://www.vset.net (which used to be VSET’s website) there is, about halfway down on the homepage, an article about this issue with severarl links, including one to an account of my own frustrating call about this issue to Amazon’s customer service (along with the highly secret Amazon.com customer service phone number) and Mr. Bezo’s (I assume it was actually Mr. Bezos responding, because I know he cares about such matters; in fact, he said so) written response. I was also once an enthusiastic Amazon customer, but, as I relate here, I have done just fine without them. You have provided me with some new links which I’ll add at the first opportunity.
This boycott came up at a seminar at UT this past Saturday - well, actually I brought it up myself - which focused on animal fighting and ill-considered breed specific laws; there is also a page touching on those issues, with a number of links, at the http://www.vset.net site, under the PeTEY link.
Yours truly,
John Mayer

Hi all,
I have been an avid customer of Amazon.com for years, but recently chose to withhold my business from them when I learned about several ongoing boycotts against them based on different aspects of promotion of cruelty to animals. I thought some folks on this list might want to know about these initiatives. I don't really want to get into a discussion about 'censorship' here - I am all for free speech, but I also believe in balance and moderation in all things.
Let your conscience be your guide.
