Arts ResearchInstitute (ARI), Coimbatore is a registered public charitable trust. The trustis formed to conduct research on the hidden knowledge of ancient indigenousIndian arts like varmam and other related arts.
ARI is currently involvedin providing medical therapy using ancient Indian medical system of varmam. Wehave 10 therapy centres spread across Tamil Nadu and also one each in NewDelhi, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Pondicherry.
Based on thenumerous feedbacks we have received, we have decided to open up our therapycentre to medical graduates for on the job training. Selected medical graduateswill have:
· Opportunity to work under the direct supervisionof experienced Medical Officers present in the Coimbatore therapy centre.
· Opportunity to also interact with ConsultingDoctors from various disciplines who will be visiting our Coimbatore therapycentre.
· Opportunity for hands on training directly fromDr.N.Shunmugom, Ph.D., Varmam Researcher, Honorary Advisor to Arts ResearchInstitute. He has trained more than 500 physicians working in Tamil NaduGovernment Hospitals and PHC, based on invitation from Directorate of IndianMedicine and Homoeopathy.
· Opportunity to work with more than 100 newpatients every week and apply varmam therapy to more than 500 patients everyweek. Since Coimbatore therapy centre is the Head Centre, patients withcomplications are sent here from other therapy centres belonging to thisinstitution.
· Opportunity to learn varmam heat treatment (Ilaikizhi and Neiykizhi) therapyand basic varmam massage techniques directly from Dr.N.Shunmugom and alsoapply those treatment techniques to the patients visiting Coimbatore centre.
· Opportunity to work on various research projectsto scientifically prove the efficacy of varmam therapy.
On successful completion of the training, the institute will issue anexperience certificate signed by Dr.N.Shunmugom, Ph.D. and Dr.S.Yoganathan,M.S. (Ortho), President of this unit.
| Eligibility: | Should be government recognized medical professional who have completed 5 ½ years of medical degree study. |
| Vacancies: | Two (2) positions. |
| Experience: | Fresh or Experienced. |
| Gender: | 1 male and 1 female. |
| Location: | Coimbatore. |
| Duration: | 6 months |
| Timings: | 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm on all weekdays. |
| Attendance: | Minimum 90% attendance. |
| Fees: | Rupees Ten Thousand Only (Rs.10,000/-). It can be paid in two instalments. |
| Payment Mode: | Demand Draft in the name of "Arts Research Institute" payable at Coimbatore. Demand draft has to be submitted only after receiving selection letter. |
