Registration Now Open! Please share with interested colleagues working
in the health care setting around the issue of intimate partner
violence.

The Virginia Department of Health, in collaboration with The Family
Violence Coordinating Council of the Roanoke Valley is sponsoring a
"Train-the-Trainer: Health Care Response to Intimate Partner Violence"
on May 29, 2009 at Roanoke College. This training is for ALL health
care providers, domestic violence service providers, and any other
professionals or office staff working with/in the health care setting in
the Southwest Virginia region. This day-long workshop will include case
studies and facilitated discussion and will certify participants as VDH
trainers in the RADAR method for responding to IPV in the health care
setting.

4.5 hours of continuing education units for nurses pending.

There is a $10 fee for this training, and pre-registration is required.
