ESCAPe Primary Prevention Trainings
The Primary Prevention of Violence training is an introductory level
course that will address the concepts of preventing violence prior to
the first occurrence. It will address issues such as the definition of
primary prevention, the social ecological model, risk and protective
factors, and evaluating resources. There are many levels and types of
violence in our society - bullying, family violence, youth violence,
gang violence, dating violence, sexual assault, etc. While these types
of violence may be quite different, this course will be looking at the
link between possible root causes and prevention initiatives.
