The Criminal Injuries Compensation Fund, the state of Virginia's crime victim compensation program, is seeking a full-time Forensic Payment Coordinator. This position will coordinate all activities relating to the payment of Physical Evidence Recovery Kits (PERKS) in sexual assault cases. Duties will include policy development, training, approving medical bills for payment, and providing information and assistance to sexual assault victims.
Successful candidate will possess: a Bachelor's degree with coursework in human services or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or training; ability to communicate with diverse groups and create coalitions; ability to negotiate compromises among groups with varied interests; and strong written and oral communication skills.
Preferred qualifications include knowledge of sexual assault issues, hospital practices, and forensic issues; experience in project management and training development and facilitation; and direct experience working with sexual assault
This position has an annual salary of up to $42,000.
