Local Fatality Review Team Coordinator

Position MEX20

Pay Band:  05

Pay Range:  $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner seeks a dynamic and energetic professional for a part-time grant-restricted position to provide coordination and support for its local and regional family and intimate partner fatality review projects.  Grant funding is for two years. 

The Coordinator’s position focuses on these tasks:  (1) training and technical assistance to implement local and regional fatality review teams; (2) planning and hosting a statewide conference on fatality review; (3) preparation of a resource manual on fatality review; and (4) inter-agency coordination on other grant-specific initiatives.  Successful candidates will demonstrate experience in the following areas:  theory and method of fatality review; multi-agency collaboration; manual or technical writing; training and technical support; conference planning; group facilitation; project management; strong oral and written communication skills; and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks. 

Statewide travel is required.  Prefer master’s degree in public health or social science.  Computer literacy using Microsoft Office Programs is required; experience with graphic design and desktop publishing is preferred.  This job is located in Richmond City. A criminal background check is required for the position.
