Eight Steps to Coalition Building: Fostering Strategic Partnerships to
Prevent Violence Against Women

Preventing violence against women requires comprehensive approaches. Often,
the best way to ensure a comprehensive strategy is to build a diverse
coalition. This web conference will highlight 8 Steps to Coalition Building
and explore in-depth the process of deciding whether or not a coalition is
appropriate to selecting the best membership and conducting ongoing
evaluation.

What is a web conference?
A web conference is an opportunity to attend an online workshop. In a web
conference, you watch a presentation on your computer screen (using your
internet connection) while you hear the presentation through your telephone
(you will dial-in to a conference call) or read the presentation through our
captioning service (also on your computer screen). Web conferences feature
opportunities to participate in online question & answer session and live
text chat between participants. If you are unable to join on your computer,
you can download the presentations slides and listen to the presentation on
your telephone.

Real time captioning available.
Indicate in your conference registration form if you be using real time
captioning or any other assistive technology to access this web conference.

Mac compatible.
The iLinc web conference software used by Prevention Connection is now
compatible with Apple Macintosh computers running Mac OSX 10.3.9 or 10.4,
and using Firefox or Safari browsers.
