Training Institute Manager Position Opening

The Virginia Sexual & Domestic Violence Training Institute trains
over 1,000
professionals working in the fields of sexual and domestic violence
each
year. Contracted faculty members from varying professional
backgrounds offer
trainings on a broad range of topics. Trainings this year have
addressed:
Crisis Intervention, Basic Domestic Violence, Basic Sexual Assault,
Child
and Youth Advocacy, Prevention Principles, Sexual Violence &
Substance
Abuse; Leadership Development for Rural Sexual Violence Providers;
Promoting
Protective Factors to Prevent Sexual & Domestic Violence; Women of
Color
Leadership; Strengthening Protective Order Effectiveness; and
Equalizing
Power: Building an Anti-Racist Movement to End Sexual & Domestic
Violence.

We are looking for a Training Institute Manager who has a foundation
of
experience working with sexual and domestic violence issues and who
has
managed projects. This person will be responsible for preparing
Sexual and
Domestic Violence Agencies to provide effective leadership for
prevention and intervention, and for enhancing the capacity of
allied
professionals to address the issues as well. S/he will participate
in the
management of the work of the Action Alliance prevention, resources
and
training team staff. This position offers a unique opportunity to
work with
advocates throughout Virginia who seek the full participation in
anti-violence work of voices that have been traditionally
marginalized.

The starting salary for this position will be between
$38,000-42,000. The
Action Alliance offers good benefits. Applicants must have a valid
Virginia
driver's license and a good driving record as this job requires
statewide
travel and the use of agency cars.
