The purpose of this e-mail is to announce the conference Understanding Youth
Development in the Context of the Information Age to be held on October 30,
2007, at the Holiday Inn Select Koger South Conference Center in Richmond,
Virginia. This one day conference is sponsored by the Collaborative HIV/STD,
Abstinence, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Sexual and Reproductive Health
(CHATS) team composed of representatives from the Virginia Departments of
Education, Health, Juvenile Justice, Social Services and Mental Health,
Mental Retardation and Substance Abuse Services.
The purpose of the conference is presentation of practical, research-based
information on Adolescent Brain Development, Juvenile Sexual Offenders, and
Internet Safety to those working directly with Virginias youth.
Psychologists, nurses, Safe and Drug-Free School coordinators, case
managers, health care providers, counselors, health educators, probation and
parole specialists, social workers, foster care staff, therapists and others
interested in childrens well-being are invited to attend.

registration. A printable confirmation will be automatically generated upon
receipt of individual registration. The registration deadline is October 5,
