DESCRIPTION:
This position, under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, directs
client service delivery to victims of Domestic Violence, provides supervision
for the staff and volunteers, and supervises the daily routine in the shelter in
compliance with professional and organizational standards. This position
provides individual and group sessions to clients and their children, acts as a
liaison to other agencies and programs, provides consultation to the community
to raise awareness of the issues, provides training to staff members, is
responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and safety of the residence facility.
Position #62622. Grade S-25.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the
following: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a
master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Women’s Studies,
Domestic Violence or other field related to the position, plus 3 years
experience in management providing supervision to staff members.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference is given to those with experience in providing supervision for staff
delivering services to multicultural populations and serving domestic violence
victims.
