Family Violence Homicide Surveillance Coordinator
(Position X3481)
Pay Band: 04
Pay Range: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner seeks a qualified
professional for a part-time position (maximum of 1500 hours per year)
to provide coordination and support for its Family and Intimate
Partner Homicide Surveillance Project. The Coordinator's position
focuses on two tasks: (1) collection, analysis and publication of
information on all family and intimate partner-related homicides in
the Commonwealth; and (2) training and technical assistance to
Virginia's local or regional fatality review teams. Successful
candidates will demonstrate experience in the following areas: data
collection and analysis; report writing; multi-agency collaboration;
training and technical support; project management; strong oral and
written communication skills; and the ability to work independently
while managing multiple tasks. Travel to district offices for
purposes of data collection is required.

Master's degree in public health or social science preferred.
Computer literacy using Microsoft Office Programs and software
proficiency in SPSS or its equivalent is required. Demonstrated
experience on research projects and writing about data findings is
required. A criminal background check is also required for the
position. This job carries no benefits and is located in Richmond City.
