The Department of Criminal Justice Services seeks a full-time Victim/Witness
Program Coordinator to assist in managing the statewide victim assistance
program through grant management, resource development, policy analysis,
training, and provision of direct services. Position assists localities in
development and management of victim assistance programs. Duties include:
monitoring of grant funded victim assistance programs; providing technical
assistance and consultation to victim assistance programs, including
victim/witness programs; developing training programs and providing guidance
and assistance to service providers, law enforcement officers and other
professionals working with crime victims. Incumbent will also be
responsible to: develop resource materials, manuals, brochures, policy and
procedures to improve service provided to crime victims; provide support and
technical assistance in CIMS grant reporting software utilization and
analysis of victim-related legislation; and research and prepare program
performance reports.
Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to oversee grant-funded activities and
to provide constructive, sound technical and programmatic assistance to
service providers, criminal justice officials, and the agency. Demonstrated
ability to develop and conduct training programs. Demonstrated verbal and
written communication skills required. Experience with computer software
applications such as Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple
assignments and deadlines preferred. Knowledge of program planning,
budgeting, evaluation; demonstrated analytical skills and training
techniques preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with victim assistance
issues and victims services preferred. Knowledge and/or experience with
the criminal justice system - local/state/federal preferred. A degree in
criminal justice, social science or a related field is preferred.
Experience with software applications such as Access or PowerPoint is
preferred.
