TITLE: Anti-Violence Project Manager
SUPERVISOR: Executive Director

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning and implementing comprehensive field/outreach efforts to support the objectives of the Virginia Anti-Violence Project. TheVirginia Anti-Violence Project is a newly funded program to conduct research and implement education and outreach activities on domestic and intimate partner violence and hate crimes statewide.

DUTIES:
The Anti-Violence Project Manager is responsible for working with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to implement the activities of the Anti-Violence Project for the Equality Virginia Education Fund. These activities include, but are not limited to:
A. Meet with anti-violence project committee of Equality Virginia Board on a regular basis to guide process
B. Identify LGBT and anti-violence service providers
C. Create survey instrument on domestic and intimate partner violence and hate crimes and create a plan for conducting the survey across Virginia
D. Market project in the LGBT and anti-violence communities by conducting public awareness activities
E. Develop volunteer training, actively recruit volunteers to assist with conducting the survey, and train volunteers
F. Develop database to collate data, assess and compile data into a report on
The State of Violence in the LGBT Community in Virginia
G. Distribute the report to constituents in both the anti-violence and LGBT communities
H. Work in both communities to develop a collaborative plan on how to move forward with the recommendations made in the report
I. Compile service agency information into a
Resource Guide
J. Distribute the Resource Guide to constituents in both the anti-violence and LGBT communities
K. Develop plan and conduct outreach/summit meetings with members of the GLBT community as well as service providers to solicit feedback.
L. Incorporated summit feedback into a written plan on how both the LGBT community and anti-violence community plans to work towards better serving survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence, including stalking and other related hate-motivated violence and harassment in the LGBT community. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
This is a Richmond based position, although statewide travel will be required.  Bachelor's degree, strong organizational experience and communications skills required, Masters in Human Services, Social Work or Organizing is preferred.  A minimum of one to two years of professional or volunteer non-profit experience preferred.  Experience with public speaking and recruiting and managing volunteers a plus.
