Action Alliance (VSDVAA) Wild Women of Wisdom Task Force.

Sara L. Bergdolt-Munzer has served as the coordinator for the Abuse in
Later Life Program
(ALLP) at the Family Violence Program, Inc. of Pitt County in
Greenville, NC since ALLP’s inception in July 2000. Her primary focus is
on outreach and program planning and development. She coordinates Pitt
County’s Violence in Aging Council and serves on the Pitt Aging
Coalition. She has held various positions in aging services. Sara has a
BA in Sociology from the Univ. of MD, an MPA and a Certificate in
Gerontology Admin. from the Univ. of NM and a Certificate in Non-Profit
Management from Duke University.

Debby Weinstein has been the Exec. Dir. Of the YWCA of Charleston, WV
since June 1997. She began her work there in 1982 as a residential
counselor for the battered women and children served by the YWCA’s
Resolve Family Abuse Program. For the next 8 years, Debby directed the
YWCA’s Sojourners Shelter Program for Homeless Women and Families. She
spent 4 years working as the Exec. Dir. of the YWCA of Missoula, MT
before returning to Charleston in June 1997. She has served on numerous
boards, coalitions and committees addressing issues such as racism,
poverty, health care for the indigent, homelessness, elder abuse and
others. She is a graduate of The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA.

Sgt. Barbara J. Walker has served in law enforcement for nearly 30
years. For the last 19 years, she has been an officer with the Virginia
Commonwealth University Police Department. Previously, she was a
Communications officer with the Hanover Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. Walker is
certified by Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) as a Crime
Prevention Specialist. Her training expertise includes domestic violence
and sexual assault involving elders, and law enforcement’s response to
domestic violence. She is a member of the Central Virginia Task Force on
Older Battered Women and co-directs its V-STOP-funded project on
domestic and sexual violence in later life. She is a Board Member of the
Virginia Coalition for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, and currently
serves on the Women’s Disability and Justice Advisory Council.
