The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) and the
National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) have collaborated to
provide a redesigned FUNDING ALERT. Issued twice monthly, or whenever
warranted, this new FUNDING ALERT will provide asynopsis of the
available funding that can be
used by individuals and/or agencies working to end domestic violence
and sexual assault.

Special Announcement - Newly-Enhanced Grants & Funding Area on VAWnet
August 2006
VAWnet has significantly enhanced the content, structure, and utility
of the Grants & Funding information on the website. Access the

Features Include:
- Current Funding Database: This database provides a synopsis of the
currently available fellowships, scholarships, and grants that may be
used to address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence,
and stalking for which the application deadlines have not yet passed.
The funding
announcements are arranged by Government Grants for Programs, Private
Grants for Programs, Research and Evaluation, Fellowships, and
Scholarships, and each includes a brief description and links to more
detailed application information.
- Funding Alerts: The Funding Alert provides a weekly synopsis of
current fellowships, scholarships, and grants that may be used to
address domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, and
stalking. The two most recent Funding Alerts are posted here, along
with an archive of past Alerts.
- Government Funding: This section offers information on the 26 United
States Federal grant-making agencies; databases/portals which provide
access to government funding information and information on United
States Federal, local, and state government resources and services;
and funding
information, resources, and services provided by the White House
Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and the Department
Centers for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.
- Private Funding for Individuals: This section features grants,
scholarships, fellowships and/or awards available from foundations,
charities and private trusts for which individual survivors might be
eligible. Organized into categories, each entry provides contact
information and a brief summary
of the grant, scholarship, fellowship and/or award.
- Grant Writing: These selected grant writing websites provide clear,
detailed information on the grant-writing process at no cost.
- Non-Profit Management: The selected websites in this section
provides free information and resources on areas of interest to the
nonprofit community including: accountability and evaluation,
advocacy, communications and marketing, and foundations and grantmaking.
