On With the Show. Lights! Camera! Action Alliance!

Come join the action, stand under the lights and enjoy the many showcases at the
thirteenth annual Spring Training Retreat sponsored by The Virginia Sexual and
Domestic Violence Action Alliance (VSDVAA)!! VSDVAA will hold the Retreat at
Sweetbriar College in Amherst, Virginia from June 6th - June 8th.

Our keynote speaker this year is Dominique Lasseur of Tatge/Lasseur Productions,
Inc. (Connecticut), and producer of Breaking the Silence: Children's Stories.
After a screening of this groundbreaking PBS documentary, Lasseur will comment
on portions of the film. The film chronicles the impact of domestic violence on
children and the recurring failings of family courts across the country to
protect them from their abusers. In stark and often poignant interviews,
children and battered mothers tell their stories of abuse at home and continued
trauma within the courts.
