Organization: Non Profit certified domestic violence program serving
Caroline, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Fredericksburg.
Offers rewarding work with primarily women and children and a
supportive work environment. Services include court advocacy,
shelter, support groups for all ages, children's services, 24 hour
hotline, community coordination and education, and batterer
intervention program.
Job Description: Work with Hispanic/Latino victims/survivors of
domestic violence. Provide advocacy and support in the J&DR Courts,
provide education, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning,
support in-person and via hotline in Spanish and English. Recruitment
and training of bilingual volunteers responding to sexual and
domestic violence. Community training and education to improve
services to Hispanic/Latino survivors.
Responsible for coordination of services to H/L victims across
community support systems. Training provided.
Qualifications & requirements: Successful candidate will be bi-
lingual and will understand varied and complex needs of the
Hispanic/Latino community.
BA/BS and/or relevant experience required. Bi-cultural preferred.
Salaried, FT, 40 hours includes occasional evenings, weekend and on-
call responsibilities.
