Hotline Specialist, YWCA of Richmond
The YWCA of Richmond is seeking applicants for Hotline Specialist
within our Sexual and Domestic Violence Program. Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to: provide information and referral
services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and
homelessness, conduct assessments with callers seeking shelter or
counseling services, maintain accurate demographic and other
statistical data, process new shelter residents by completing intake
forms, provide information and referral to community agencies,
represent the YWCA in the community, and ensure a safe and empowering
environment for women and children fleeing domestic violence and or
homelessness.
Minimum qualifications include a two-year degree in human services
and/or equivalent experience. Knowledge of domestic violence and
sexual assault issues required. Must be self-motivated, organized,
detail-oriented, and flexible. Must have excellent listening and
writing skills with the ability to remain calm in crisis situations.
