Greater Richmond SCAN (Stop Child Abuse Now) is currently seeking a
Child Advocacy Center Coordinator.
General Description
The Child Advocacy Center Coordinator is responsible for the
management of the Child Advocacy Center, a program of Greater
Richmond SCAN. He/she is responsible for coordinating and
facilitating the multi-disciplinary team meetings; maintaining case
records and case tracking system; conducting ongoing program
development and evaluation; supervising volunteers utilized in the
Center; providing community networking and education; and providing
case management/therapeutic services to clients and families. The
Coordinator will work closely with the Associate Director and may be
involved in the Family Support Program and the Public Education
Program as needed.
Qualifications
Masters degree in social work or other related human service field.
Knowledge of child abuse and neglect issues especially sexual abuse,
parent support/education, multidisciplinary teams and community
resources. Management and supervisory experience. Excellent verbal
and written communication skills. Understanding of
multiculturalism. Program evaluation skills.
Major Responsibilities (40 hours per week)
Coordinate the multidisciplinary teams using the Child Advocacy
Center
Maintain Child Advocacy Center records for CAC clients
Maintain statistics of cases seen at the Child Advocacy Center
Coordinate trainings for multidisciplinary team as appropriate
Provide case management services to clients and families
Supervise Child Advocacy Center interns and volunteers
Conduct program evaluation
Provide community networking and education about direct services and
issues related to child abuse and neglect and the Child Advocacy
Center
Manage the Child Advocacy Center s facility
Assist Associate Director and Executive Director with program
development including budget, grant and contract management
