The VSDV Action Alliance is, again, offering this one day training to
address the need for collaboration between sexual and domestic violence
victim advocates, people with disabilities, and disability services
providers. The training provides strategies for sensitive community
outreach, enhancing accessibility of services, screening for previous or
ongoing abuse, assessing and providing appropriate accommodations and
providing respectful interventions for women with disabilities who have
experienced interpersonal violence.
Intended audience: people with disabilities, disability advocates, sexual
and domestic violence advocates
Cost: $40 for members of the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Action Alliance;
$50 for nonmembers
