DELTA QUARTERLY TRAINING
May 19, 2005
9 am-5 pm
DoubleTree Hotel
Charlottesville VA
In order to offer communities the opportunity to advance their learning,
skill development, and practices in primary prevention of domestic and
sexual violence, the DELTA Project of the Action Alliance is opening its
2005 quarterly one-day training sessions to others who may be interested.
Leaders from a variety of faith communities will participate in a panel
discussion on intimate partner violence. Issues to be covered include how
different faith communities react and respond to intimate partner violence,
both among members of their faith and within society at large. Several
questions to be addressed include: "How do you support intimate partner
couples in your community?"; "What is the best approach for addressing
intimate partner violence within your community place of worship?", "What
activites for encouraging healthy relationships are currently taking place
in
your places of worship?"
Cost: $60 for members of the Action Alliance; $70 for nonmembers
