The YWCA of Richmond has an immediate opening for an energetic person
with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities as Sexual Assault
Outreach Counselor. Primary responsibilities are to provide
short-term individual and group counseling services to sexual assault
survivors. Other duties include: provide court and hospital
accompaniment for clients, conduct community outreach and education,
coordination of volunteers, maintenance of client files and program
reporting. Previous experience with counseling in a domestic violence
and/or sexual assault setting will be given priority. Mental health
and substance abuse knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse
populations are required. Must be able to commit to flexible
schedule. Minimum bachelor's degree in the human service field
master's degree preferred. Competitive salary with benefits including
