Citizens Against Sexual Assault, with support from the Virginia Department
of Health, is pleased to offer the Child Assault Prevention (CAP)
Facilitator's Training on January 10-12, 2005, in Harrisonburg, VA.
The CAP program is a national, comprehensive violence prevention program
targeting elementary school-aged children, their parents, and their
teachers. This facilitator training is designed for teams of three to five
individuals from a Virginia community with a commitment to providing CAP
programs in area schools. Trainees will learn to implement the National CAP
curriculum for elementary age students and ensure that all children have the
right to be SAFE, STRONG, and FREE from abuse. After the training,
participants will receive all the materials needed and will be ready to
provide the training in their local community.
Following the training, there will be the possibility of applying for a
mini-grant with VDH to assist in implementing the CAP training in your area.
More information will be given during the training.
