Crisis Counselor - YWCA of Richmond
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: providing individual
counseling and education regarding domestic violence and sexual assault to
hotline callers and residents, providing support groups to shelter
residents, conducting assessment interviews for new residents and providing
written documentation as required, representing the YWCA in the community,
and ensuring a safe and empowering environment for women and children
fleeing domestic violence and or homelessness.
Minimum qualifications include a four-year degree in human services and/or
equivalent experience. Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault
issues required. Must be self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and
flexible with own transportation. Must have excellent listening and writing
skills with the ability to remain calm in crisis situations. Deadline: May
