Requirements:

This position
coordinates a statewide youth violence prevention initiative for
the Center for Injury and Violence Prevention. Duties include: developing and
coordinating initiatives to increase community based use of best practices
approaches to youth violence prevention, with a special emphasis on bullying
prevention; youth violence prevention training for statewide audiences;
management and promotion of a youth violence prevention website; provision of
information, resources, referral on scope, causes, consequences and
prevention
of youth violence. Ideal candidate will have considerable knowledge of
violence risk and protective factors and public health approaches to
prevention; experience with assessment, multi-agency planning, training and
coordination of educational projects; strong networking abilities; excellent
oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently and
manage
multiple tasks. Prefer Masters degree in public health, community health
education, social work, education, marketing, or equivalent combination of
training and experience.

Requirements:

Seeking
dynamic individual to manage various grants that address sexual
violence. The individual in this position will: manage sexual assault center
grants in accordance with grant and agency requirements regarding
performance,
evaluation and reporting. Monitor and provide technical assistance to all
funded programs. Manage the 'Request for Proposal' process, award grants, and
oversee the contracting process for local sexual assault centers. Coordinate
regional meetings. Be the subject-matter expert for sexual violence
prevention.
Present at local community and statewide trainings and conferences.
Coordinate
mini-grant funding opportunities to local organizations. Requires considerable
knowledge of issues related to sexual violence. Knowledge of public health
approaches to prevention is desired. Demonstrated abilities and experience in
contract management, program evaluation, coalition-building, and outreach and
education. Needs to be detail-oriented and clearly organized. Must have
excellent oral and written skills. Must have the ability to act independently
and manage multiple tasks. Prefer graduation from an accredited college or
university with a master's degree in public health, community health
education,
nursing, education or social work, but those with equivalent degree and
experience should also apply.
