• Bullying Prevention
• Anger Management: Psychology of Youth Aggression
This Institute is designed for all K-12 personnel to include teachers,
counselors, social workers, School Resource Officers, administrators and
others. The Institute is designed to enhance the participants’ knowledge of
violence in schools and the role of character education in promoting a safe
school climate. Emphasis will be placed upon recognizing warning signs in
children, understanding appropriate intervention strategies, and
implementing a comprehensive character education program as a prevention
strategy.
OBJECTIVES:
-Increase understanding of the many warning signs that may trigger violence
in schools.
-Increase knowledge of prevention/ intervention strategies to help decrease
violence in schools.
-Understand the components of a comprehensive character development focus.
A major theme of the Institute is understanding how character education can
positively affect school climate. Three hours of graduate credit will be
offered for the Institute. Check the website (
