hello im new my name is laura my problem is since i was 15 i have had
severe pain in both sides of my abdomen then it radiated to my lower
back i immediately thought it was a kidney infection as it came on so
suddenly and it was burning when i went to the loo. however
everything came back clearly thank fully my gp said it was a strain
and that i was making a big thing of it. unfortunatly that put me off
going back about the problem and for three years i suffered in
silence untill two years ago my friend talked me in to going back
they tested me for various things everything came back clear i have
had to fight to get people to listen then last year i had cystitis
and had to do a urine sample but i kept getting cystitis so i had to
keep doing samples so they could see if i was clear my gp discoverd
blood in my urine and refurred me straight to a urologist but the
urologist was really rude made it out to be my back and that it was
all my jobs fault (im a carer). he just said if there is protein in
my urine then my kidneys are leaking or its my back. since this i
have been to physiotherapy they basically cant do anything for me as
its too painful for me to be examined. at the moment i am waiting for
a hospital appointment in march to see a muscular skeletal specialist
and they are assesing for surgery. this week the pain has been
utterly horrendous normally i have tears in my eyes but this was even
worse. i went up to see my gp yesterday thinking it was my back but
she said sounded like a uti i did metion that i have been going to
the loo more often for the last week but it doesnt burn so i didnt
worry.i dont know who to believe anymore as i have one gp telling me
its my back and one telling me its a uti what if the infection has
gone to my kidneys?
