Welcome Upstate NY (and surrounding areas) Chiarians! We are very grateful for the great national/international group(s) that we post to and read daily especially Chiari Connection International it's time we have a more LOCALIZED FAMILY to turn to both via the web and in person. We have created UNYChiarians for those individuals who have Chiari, Syringomyelia, Spina Bifida (and/or related conditions), think they may have Chiari (and/or other related conditions), know someone with Chiari (and/or other related conditions - just wanted to make sure that this was understood haha) We hope that you will join and we hope that you find UNYChiarians to be all that we intend it to be. The group is designed to be a FUN and resourceful place for you to come and not only receive support but give it (sometimes unknowingly). We want everyone who comes here to immediately know - You are NOT alone! We want to make each other smile on the most rotten day, give a hug where ever needed and educate each other and others in our lives and beyond.. We have an amazing Neurosurgeon..Dr Fred Scialabba as without him this would not be possible... Any questions to him will be routed through here and we will either relay the answers or you will hear from the great doctor yourself.
