Hi Miranda
It is strange just how much these kids have in common, they are
improving so that is always a good sign.
Heath has improved dramatically over the last year, and started this
year in Grade 1 mainstream school with support (2 hours 1 on 1 aide
time + ST) as well as curriculum modification i.e. class lessons have
been incorporated on acceptable social behaviours (good for all
littlies I think :-)) and a new phonics program has been introduced
to be multi-sensory. This time last year Heath was only partially
mainstreamed, attending a special school as well for half of the
week, mid last year it was decided that he needed to be fully
mainstreamed to have him ready for this year and it has so far paid
off.
Look forward to talking to you more.
Karen
