GNC WARNING!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #7775 of 12109 |
Hello folks - I looked into the colon cleanser at GNC, and it has "No
Gluten" on the cover.... well, on the back it says for one of the
products "contains wheat." I called them to get clarification, and got
told "it has trace amounts, so we have to put it on the ingredients,
but it's not enough to make you sick so it's gluten-safe." Be careful
with their products since their labels are seemingly purposefully
confusing, and the rep couldn't understand my frustration and said
legally they were able to have conflicting statements on their
labels... ARGH! Lisa

Any manufacturer who malts non-gluten grains is going to shout this fact from the roof-tops. If you see "Malt" as an ingredient, you would have to assume it...
