RE: [USASillyYaks] Re:Surgery

Nachos – corn tortilla chips

Progresso Soup has a couple that are gf – my family likes the Chicken & Wild Rice

Rice & potatoes as starchy side dishes

Idahoan instant mashed potatoes makes a quick & easy side dish

BBQ Chicken – just bake the chicken with a gf bbq sauce (Sonny’s, Sweet Baby Ray’s, Kraft)

Fruit

Veggies

Tacos – just use salsa with the meat instead of a seasoning mix.  The taco shells are made from corn, so they are fine.

Fajitas – serve on corn tortillas; just use spices (salt, pepper, chili powder, cayenne pepper, cumin, etc) on the meat instead of a ‘mix’

Frozen dinners – my family likes Amy’s enchiladas.  I try to keep a couple on hand for emergencies.

Stuffed baked potatoes – toppings like cheese, sour cream, ham, broccoli, bacon, etc.

HTH!

Praying all goes well with your surgery and with the kids eating situations!

I don't know if you have any gf noodles, but my kids eat Kraft Macaroni and Cheese with my noodles  but their sauce.  Cheese quesadillas are another one (just buy the corn instead of flour tortillas).  Regular hamburgers without the bun is another idea, chili, Fruity Dino Bites cereal or Cocoa Pebbles (for breakfast), scrambled eggs, baked potatoes.

These are just a few ideas that I came up with.

Good luck.  Hope all goes well for you!
Heidi
