I think I have Lupus or maybe I am just crazy?!   Message List

Re: [UNdiagnosedMS] Re: I think I have Lupus or maybe I am just crazy?!

I think that SSI is based on income & SSDI is not. I
have asked my son's case worker (he is on a Medicaid
waiver for all his problems) & she knew a lot about
what to do. I am going to have my doctor write me up
for SSDI. They will allow for her to request me home
help also I was told so that will be wonderful. I am
not entirely comfortable having someone else do my
work around the house, but I think it is time to get
over that concern. Maybe you could look into that as
well & it might help you a lot also?
Sorry that I haven't written. My husband's car has
been dying for awhile, so I bought him a car he has
been wanting for a long time. Our credit sucks because
my business cost us a fortune since it was closed so
much from being sick & I still had to pay rent even
though I wasn't earning any money, so of course they
robbed us, but he is SO happy that it really is worth
it. Maybe he just needed something special. He works
so hard & I control the money,so he has to ask me
whenever he wants anything. He had a nasty car & all
the other people in exec positions at work drive nice
ones & have expensive watches & clothes. I think he is
embarassed sometimes maybe. He has been so happy.
Maybe it seems superficial, but as hard as he works he
really deserves something that makes him feel like all
the work is for something. I know it is for his family
& so does he & that is why he keeps doing it, but
everyone needs something tangible too. I like to buy
clothes & beauty stuff. He likes cars (mustangs in
particular), so I got him the very best mustang
possible. They didn't want to do the deal because of
the credit. They wanted something cheaper, but I
persisted & I got it for him. And he knows that it is
not something most people could have accomplished so
he is really happy with me. I will take it. I need
that! :) I hope it lasts. Today he took us for a ride
to a city about 50 miles away for a nice dinner
(mostly just so we could drive). He chose that city, I
think, because it is one my son & I love
(Williamsburg, we love historical stuff). He even
fixed the seat in the car so I could get out of it
easier without me even asking him. I didn't know it
could be set higher & it is hard to get up out of a
deep seat because of my incisions. It is so nice to
have him thinking about me again. It hurt my feelings
every time he didn't do something. I just had my
birthday a couple weeks ago & he never even said happy
birthday & I got so upset that I couldn't get my pulse
below 150 all night!
Oh well, I rambled, but I had to share the good news,
there is so little of it these days. I don't care what
this car costs it is worth every penny!! :)
I hope that you are doing better this weekend!
