Hi All,
I am a 57 yr old named Nancy that started experiencing lightning
spinal pain 10 yrs ago. Doctors convinced me that fixing a torn
knee would end the symptoms. It did not and I became worse. I have
gait, balance problems, loss of eye sight, fall constantly, lack
reflexes, etc. When arthritis, Sjogren and other tests were
negative, the doctor prescribed cortisone for a week. It worked. So
she referred me to a rheumotologist. The blood tests he did were
negative too. However, the MRI showed multiple brain lesions. He
referred me to an MS neurological specialist that ordered more blood
and vision tests, MRIs and an MRA. My cholesterol was elevated due
to Lipitor being discontinued. The B-12 was 1500. I took 1000 mg of
B-12 daily until now. The remaining blood tests and MRA were
negative. The MRIs showed multiple brain and spinal lesions. Does
anyone know what high B-12 levels mean? I was unable to find
anything about it on the internet. Four doctors feel I may have MS.
I have had thryoid disease and Hashimoto since my teens. Doctors
that have treated me for years are stumped as to why I get worse and
better. I am stumped too. I see the MS specialist Jan 8th and hope
she has answers.
