I was dianosed with pernicious anemia about 8 years ago, I have to take monthly B-12 injections for life.  You have to have a schillings test to be diagnosed with pernicious anemia. My body does not absorb the vitamin because of the intrinsic factor.  ( maybe came from years of IBS? although my mom has it too) I will be happy to answer your questions if I can.
