Hi Jan
If your test is a CPK ,CK a high reading means muscle degeneration .My problem is i have been 4-5 yrs. with first a diagnoses of ALS then Cortico Basal Ganglionic Degeneration then Probable PLS Primary Lateral Sclerosis then that was taken off then probable MS now that i had the spinal tap thats gone and we're back t PLS .Ive had all kinds of tests.Mine started with Slurred speech then falling when running ,right knee folds up .It sounds alot like MS where the signal from the brain is slow to get to the muscle .M MRI,s Brain and brain stem are normal ive had EMG,s normal .Im beginning to think i 'm Pshyicotic .Im truly undiagnosed i was 55 when it started im 60 Feb 16 .I was a Plumber 37 yrs. had to retire .Got a part time job giving change out at a car wash and they decide i was a liability and let me go so i got on Disability SS.what ever you do dont let your employer know if you continue to have to repeatedly have to go back to
the Doc. with no answers or they'll find a reason to let you go .At first i fought it my attny made them take me back so they just cut my hours back to 4 hrs. per week so i quit .Having a group means alot to me to vent or find people you have something in common with .There is nothing worse than thinking your alone .George

Hi and welcome to the group. Sorry for the delay in replying to you.
Things have been kinda slow lately but we are still around. I know
there's just times I don't feel like getting on the computer. I'm
sure that's the case with most folks here, but they are nice people
and I'm sure they'll make you feel at home here.
Well, my name is Jan. I'm in the midst of being diagnoised with MS.
Waiting for my next appt. with the neuro this month. I just got some
tests results that are worrying me. My regular doctor tested my c-
reactive protein and it is very high. I'm wondering if that is common
in people with MS or if it's something else. I have a lot of other
medical problems so who knows which one it might be related to.
Again, welcome to our group. Please tell us your story. I hope you
are having a great week. Take care!
