Hi All,
Just working hard here in ND, too and not
very chatty lately either!
Yah, I did a show Sept 17ish and then last
weekend, Sept 24. Both were WAY down on attendance according to other
vendors and from my own expectations. (predicted attendance the 24th was
7-8,000 people. MAYBE there was half…) Still, I sold some, so
gotta be happy. I got a wholesale order for 100 bars of soap, too and I
am half way there.
Then yesterday, I did a little 2-hr thing
here in our town and sold 27 bars of soap and 14 bath bombs. Pretty good
for so little effort!! ND seems to be
Anyway, between soapmaking, canning and
now duck and bird hunting, it’s been crazy. And no time to quilt or
garden.
Little Otto the little Water Spaniel goes
to the dermatologist Thursday. (I will need to sell LOTS of soap to cover this
one) We took him out hunting last Monday and Thursday. Looks like his
first and last efforts for the year. His legs got all raw and
swelly. Must be grass allergies. His neck has been wrapped snugly
in a bath towel with duct tape to stop the licking on his legs – since Thursday.
He is one crabby, uncomfortable little dude. I treated his legs with Ab
triple ointment, hydrocortisone and emu oil with a couple of drops of lavender
EO. They look TONS better as long as we keep the tongue away! And
he smells nice.
Pat, I’d
be interested in your % of Spearmint Patchouli, too. My quess is 1%!
I have a small bottle from Deb that needs to be tried!
Have a
great Fall all,
Kathy

Subject: [UMSGMembersList] Back from my show
Hi All,
The October 1st show turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. It was not as large as I feared it might be. I did hear their holiday show in November is much bigger. The good news is that I have lots of product already made for the upcoming shows, and I got to see my two-year-old grandson :-)) The most popular items were lip balms, lotions, OMH and Spearmint Patchouli soap.
Keep in touch on how your shows are going!
Pat
